We’ve got some awesome news!

A while ago we asked you to take part in voting for Eventhread in Shell LiveWIRE Awards competition. Guess what? Apparently, both judges and voters loved our idea and the video, so we came 2nd out of 4 winning businesses!

Also, we’ve got shortlisted for the Shell Livewire Live ‘Hot 40’ Shortlist 2012, which means we now have a chance to win a further £10,000 this November.

The best part is that it wouldn’t have happened if you haven’t made a huge effort to vote for us. So thanks a lot to all of you who spared a few minutes and gave us a vote, shared our video on Facebook, tweeted and retweeted us! We also would like to say special thanks to Shell for giving us opportunity to be the winners of Shell LiveWIRE Awards. That’s a massive step forward to us.

If you haven’t seen the video before, check it out now and let us know in the comments what you think!

That’s all for now, bye!

ESpark, Eventhread Alpha and new features

Entrepreneurial Spark

As we mentioned earlier, we’ve been accepted to the Entrepreneurial Spark Accelerator in Glasgow which is Scotland’s business venture accelerator. So since we got in, every day has been very exciting to us. Here, at Entrepreneurial Spark (ESpark), we’ve met lots of interesting start-up owners and got lots of advice and ideas to think about. In other words, we’re really happy and proud to be part of this exciting community!

Feedback

We wanted to thank you all for your honest feedback, you’ve been really active and gave us lots of great advice. We’re now fixing any bugs and problems that you’ve pointed out in the feedback form (if you haven’t done that yet, feel free to visit Eventhread Alpha and let us know your user experience and thoughts about Eventread in our feedback form). We really appreciate your participation!

A Few Updates

We’ve got a few new things implemented in the website so far.

1. You can now instantly see number of venues and events in your city in the right top of the header.

2. You can now sign up for Eventhread with your email account so if you haven’t signed up because you don’t have a Facebook account or you just didn’t want us to spy on you (we would never do that), you are more than welcome to try it!
